We know how empowering it is to enable others - to start their own creative projects and tell their own stories. That’s why we’ve decided to share our customers’ stories* to highlight their aspirations and challenges and share that wonderful sense of accomplishment you get from learning something new. At Stitch & Story we want to share our love of crafting – encouraging others to tell their own stories and create remarkable memories.
Kristina
Kristina, from North Carolina, USA, was introduced to Stitch & Story in December 2016. Like many Stitch & Story customers Kristina was a complete beginner but quickly got the knitting bug and now attends a weekly knitting group.**
I've always wanted to learn how to knit. My 14 (then 13 year old) stepson got me Stitch & Story's Luca Pom Hat knitting kit in gray for Christmas. I followed the instructions and used some YouTube videos. Even though I started over twice, I ended up knitting the hat. That was my first knitting project ever. I loved it.
After that, I was hooked. I still knew very little about knitting, but I knew I could follow the Stitch & Story patterns that came in their kits, so I ordered two more. I ordered the Dougie Dungarees so my son could wear them for Easter. We ended up doing a photo shoot with Lundie's Photography and it turned out really well.
I have knitted several projects since then, and have joined a knitting group that meets once a week. It's been wonderful. Knitting found me during a time of high transition in my life and in a lot of ways it saved me.
Stitch & Story now has a dedicated US website for all our customers across the pond. Check it out at www.stitchandstory.us.
