So your Stitch & Story kit has arrived, and you're eager to get started, with your needles in one hand, and a squishy ball of yarn in the other. Your very first step to beginning your project is to create your first stitch before you cast on, and we're here to help you learn how!
Step-By-Step: How To Make A Slip Knot
Step 1
Make a loop, with the tail-end of the yarn on top.
Step 2
With your thumb and index finger, pass through the loop.

Step 3
Pinch the yarn end that is attached to the ball.
Step 4
Now pull through the loop, and pull again to tighten the knot.
Step 5
Place the loop onto your knitting needle and gently pull the yarn to tighten.
It should sit a little snug, but still be able to slide along the needle.
